What We Do
At Menya Solutions, we develop software solutions that automate thought processes to support decision making processes for businesses, governments and educational institutions, whether the decisions are made by users, machines or both. Our software solutions are rooted in a deep understanding of artificial intelligence algorithms as well as software architectures which blend these algorithms together to make them work for specific problems by assisting users in various sectors including, defense, security, and health informatics.
The types of solutions we propose at the moment fall into two main categories: behavior recognition/complex event processing and simulation and planning. Behavior recognition is a useful tool to analyze the behavior of agents evolving in an environment given feedback from sensors and a priori knowledge, to infer the intentions, activities, goals or plans that drive the observed agents. The information necessary to analyze behaviors often comes from a variety of sources under the form of complex events, and needs to be processed effectively and in real-time. A variety of real-world applications can benefit from our knowledge in this field. For example identifying a patient with an erratic behavior in a hospital environment from data from various sensors, or determining the threat level represented by the actions of several entities in a naval/military context.
Simulation and planning is another domain in which we work extensively and have developed a very advanced expertise. This type of planning supports users making critical decisions and is designed in such a way as to effectively minimize the sensory overload which is often present in situations where operators are given much more information than they can process. Our software developments are geared towards a wide range of simulation and planning systems for human decision support, simulation training, and automated control. Real-world applications have already benefited from our expertise in this area where we have developed solutions for mission planning, path planning, and tactical planning for our clients in the defense industry. These types of solutions are also very similar to the ones needed for problems found in the security, transport, manufacturing, and scheduling operations sectors, where resources must be scheduled and organized in an efficient manner. In the health sector, we have been developing training simulators for clinical reasoning to facilitate learning for nurses and medical students using similar approaches.
