Autonomous Space Robot Servicing

Space Robot ServicingMenya Solutions and MDA have obtained a contract from the Canadian Space Agency for the study of enabling technologies for autonomous space robot servicing. The objective of the project is to develop enabling technologies that will simplify and reduce the workload of operations analysts and robotics operators by automating the generation of scheduled plans, machine scripts, and operational procedures, while monitoring and maintaining safety and reliability during operations. The capability to autonomously perform robotic servicing will be particularly relevant to future missions, such as an international outpost at an Earth-Moon Libration point (EML2).
